Feb 27, 2012 –  Hollywood, CA – Icon News was at the center of all the Academy Awards events sending Sheri Nadel, Laci Kay and Zachary Alexander Rice to cover events on both Saturday and Sunday, with some of the biggest celebrity names on Hollywood’s biggest night.  Icon News was the only show at this years Oscar events to have kid reporters on the red carpet as Laci Kay, 13, and Zachary Alexander Rice, 7, hit the Night of 100 Stars event at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Laci Kay who is known for her appearances in Christina Aguilara’s “Hurt” video stars in a new TV show and movie, due out in 2012.
Zachary Alexander Rice, who is best known for his reoccurring roles on Jimmy Kimmel Live, is perhaps the busiest seven year old in Hollywood, if not the world.  Rice is everywhere you look these days, and adding Icon News to his fast growing list.
The two will be added to a new segment called Icon News Jr., in which the two young Hollywood celebs will interview A-listers aimed to the teen audiences.  Show Producer, Lewis Marklin Mash has plans to develop an Icon News Jr. show, for kids networks and of the event says “Laci and Zachary are two very professional youngsters that are growing leaps and bounds.  Everyone’s got their eyes on these two and I am just so excited that I got a chance to nab them up and work with them on the show.  I think the segment is going to be a hit and I can’t wait to work with them more.  I think, there is no better way to cut your teeth as a show reporter than on the Oscar red carpet.  It’s a dream come true for any Hollywood veteran, both young and old.”
